Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2010!

Zoey and Baby Jillian had an awesome Halloween!  Last Friday, we attended Faith's Fall Festival.  Zoey got to play all over the playground and Jillian got shown off to all the teachers and parents.

Today we all visited cousins Keira and Tarin.  Keira was little orphan Annie and Tarin was an adorable elephant.

Afterward we went back to Mom & Dad's for an awesome dinner including chili and snacks.  Here is Zoey as Aang, the Last Avatar and Jillian as Tigger.

Zoey trick-or-treated to 2 houses before her parents decided it was time to quit, explaining to her that Halloween doesn't mean you enter strangers' homes and chase their cats. We watched It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and Garfield's Halloween Adventure.

Happy Halloween!

Jillian's Debut!

Jillian was born today!
September 11, 2010 at 8:15 AM
7 lbs, 15 oz

Mom, dad, and baby are doing awesome!  Robin's water broke last night and they were admitted to the hospital around 10:30 pm.  After a long night of strong contractions, the doctors came to check in and give Robin an epidural around 7:30 am this morning.  Once Robin sat up, Jillian decided she couldn't wait!  Less than an hour later (and without the epidural!) Jillian made her debut.  She has long eyelashes like daddy.  Mommy's bottom lip, but daddy's upper lip.  Full head of hair! We are so very proud of all three of them.

Todd & Robin's Baby Shower
Saturday, July 24th, 2010

We had the honor and pleasure of celebrating Todd & Robin's baby shower at mom & dad's house.  The party was so sweet, beautiful, and touching.  We enjoyed great food and great company!

Todd, Robin, and Jillian got loaded up on baby stuff!

Ft. Worth Zoo

Monkeying around at the Zoo!
Sunday, July 18th, 2010

The Sunday after watching dad at the racetrack we took a short drive from the hotel over to the Ft. Worth Zoo.  Again with the heat!  We didn't get to see everything, but boy did we see a lot!  My camera was out of batteries by now, so again, big thanks to Mike and Kathy for sharing their photos!  The kids had a blast!  We definitely have to do this again some time ... maybe in the fall ;)

Medieeeeeval Tiiimmmmeeessss!

Medieval Times
Saturday, July 17th, 2010

The evening after watching dad at the racetrack, the family took a drive over to Dallas for a Medieval Times dinner and show.  Thanks again to Mike and Kathy for sharing their photos!

The kids LOVED it, and so did the adults!  Keira might have preferred it to not be so loud, though!

The food was awesome!  Soup, ribs, chicken, potatoes, dessert!

What a great show!  The horses were so beautiful and well trained.  We watched a falcon swoop around the arena.  Sparks flew during the jousts and sword fights!

The only bummer was that we got there right before the show started, so we didn't really have time to view all the neat stuff outside the arena.  There was a little museum and also windows into the horses' stables.  There were so many people once it was over, there was no room to really go look at stuff.  We were exhausted anyway, so back to the hotel we went and hung out at the pool!

It's been a busy summer for the Winglers.  A bunch of us went to Ft. Worth on the weekend of July 17th to watch dad drive a race car!  It was soooo hot outside, but watching dad tear up the racetrack was too cool!  He did so well that the professional driver that he drove with asked him if he had done this before!

Big thanks to Mike and Kathy for sharing these photos with us!

Happy 1st Birthday, Tarin!

Happy 1st Birthday, Tarin!

Kathy has shared with us some photos from May 1st when we attended Tarin's 1st Birthday party at Zilker Park.  The kids had a great time playing in the water and riding the train, and the babies had fun on mats in the shade.

Here are the daddies in front of the same fire truck from a photo taken many years before when they were little.

Happy 1st Birthday, Tarin!

It's a Girl!!!

It's a Girl!!!

It's official!  Todd and Robin are having a girl!  They're thinking of the name Jillian Ray, but I'm not positive on the spelling.  The whole family is super-thrilled.  We're also looking forward to celebrating the latest round of girls' first birthdays in the upcoming weeks.

Boy or Girl???

We've all been eagerly following the progress of Todd and Robin's pregnancy.  I've been told that we'll find out the sex of the baby on Todd's birthday, April 22nd!

I think nowadays Robin thinks it's a boy ...

Todd said they've thought of names, but ugh, I can't remember what he said now.  Something Henry.  And then he couldn't remember their girl's name.

Doesn't matter, we're just so excited we'll take anything!

Congratulations, Christopher!

Congratulations, Christopher!
Friday, February 12th, 2010

Friday was a big day for the Wingler family!  We traveled to Houston to celebrate Christopher's graduation from the Universal Technical Institute.

Christopher received many honors and all of the UTI faculty stood and applauded as he received his diploma.

After the ceremony one of his instructors took the time to congratulate him and explain to the family that Christopher received the Dave Hill award, an award that he considered to be the most prestigious because there is only one recipient for each graduating class.  The entire faculty decides which student to be given this honor.  We were so proud!

Afterward, we partied at the Flatt house with family and friends.  Ashley's Aunt Dolores and I made special cakes!

Christmas & New Year's!!!

What a wonderful holiday season!  The Wingler family was fortunate to celebrate Christmas several times.  It was so wonderful spending this time of year together.  Zoey especially had an amazing first Christmas.  She got to open many presents from her family.

On Christmas day, Anne and Todd made a roast by following a recipe from Alton Brown ("Dry-Aged Standing Rib Roast with Sage Jus").  It's baked inside a terra cotta pot!

YUM!

On New Year's day, the entire Wingler family celebrated Christmas together and also Ashley's early birthday.

The next day the Winglers, McCarthys, and Scannells celebrated an extended family Christmas that included a White Elephant gift exchange.

It was so much fun to have the babies together again!  Tarin, Lula, and Zoey are just a hoot.

What a beautiful family!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.  2009 was a great year for us, and I'm sure 2010 will be a blast!
